I have selected the following resources because either they are
central to information about sociology on-line, or because the are
particularly well-designed or informative.
Pages that I help
maintain are marked by a
, though I include them because of their quality, not
only to toot my horn.

Association
- The main professional association in the U.S. Includes membership,
section, and conference information.
Not always easy to navigate and some outdated internal links.
- European Sociological
Association
- Recent attempt to organize a transnational European umbrella
organization. Includes information about research networks and
conferences. Server is sometimes not very responsive.

Pleasantly straightforward design. Increasing amount of information
available, particularly about national organizations and ISA research
committees and conferences.
- Asociación Latinoamericana
de Sociología
- Umbrella organization for South America. Includes newsletter and
information about conferences. Slightly buggy.
Meritorious Resources

department with very helpful links of general relevance. Exemplary
for other departments!

addition, the site offers a great collection of general and up-to-date
sociology information (e.g., conference listings). Useful design that's
easy to navigate.

Sciences OnLine
